  1. Hello, Looka.

I have many different sources for birth dates, and LP and single release dates. These include 45Cat, 45Worlds/Vinyl Albums, AllMusic, AppleMusic, Billboard, Discogs, DutchCharts, HitParade.ch, MusicBrainz, RateYourMusic, Wikipedia, and YouTube Music, as well as artists’ websites, record label websites, fan club blogs and others. Occasionally a Google search will uncover a one-off website with credible date(s).

The available info for Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers’ Let Me Up (I’ve Had Enough) is inconclusive. Four sources say April 27, three say April 21, one shows April 20 and one just 1987. However, since the Petty official web site shows April 27, I will adjust my database accordingly.

As for Depeche Mode’s Sounds Of The Universe, data is inconclusive as well. In this case, the official web site shows April 20, 2009. so I will go with that.

    Thanks for the heads-up.
    Cheers, Dr. Rock

  2. Hello, Michael.

The available info for McCartney is inconclusive. Five sources say April 17 and two say April 20 (Discogs and 45Cat, usually the most reliable). McCartney’s official web site shows April 16, so I will adjust my database accordingly.

    Thanks for the heads-up.
    Cheers, Dr. Rock
